Steph Tucker

Exercise Physiologist

Steph is passionate about utilising exercise and movement in order to improve the quality of life and health in the management of chronic disease as well as enhancing performance in athletes. Steph also keeps active herself participating in regular social netball, basketball, running and attending her local gym.

Steph’s passion for exercise physiology began after her own experience of being a patient while dealing with chronic fatigue as a teenager. Throughout the time attending regular EP sessions Steph saw the importance and benefits of using exercise as medicine to manage her own health and wellbeing.

Still to this day Steph utilizes strategies given by her exercise physiologist in every day life and uses exercise to maintain good health.

This insight into the power of exercise gives Steph a great understanding over the difficulties and set backs that may be encountered and ways that they can be overcome and managed to continue moving forward. Experiencing the benefits first hand has created a great enthusiasm to help others in reaching their goals and improving their quality of life.

Steph has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Deakin University. Throughout her studies Steph has gained experienced across private practice, community health and junior athlete development and rehabilitation at Oakleigh Chargers Football Club.

Steph enjoys the diversity that comes with being an exercise physiologist and the opportunity to work with various conditions especially cardiopulmonary and musculoskeletal management.
